Hundreds of demonstrators gathered in Tahrir Square before heading to Al-Jumhuriya Bridge in the center of the capital, Baghdad.
The demonstrators crossed the concrete barriers placed on the Jumhuriya Bridge, and reached the outskirts of the Green Zone, which prompted the security forces to open water hoses from behind the concrete blocks to confront the storming attempts link

Skinman: CharlieOK what’s it going to take to get Kazemi to dissolve parliament. And Malik is wandering around with an AK-47 and happens to hear about this what’s to stop him from taking out Kasemi To save his neck?
CharlieOK: As I understand it, by Iraqi law, or else it is in the Constitution, if the Parliament doesn’t vote for a PM or a Pres. to run Iraq within so many days of being elected to Parliament, the PM and Pres. HAVE to disband the Parliament. This is put into the gazette. At that point, the PM and the Pres. then rum the administration of the govt. until Parliament finally does agree om a PM and Pres. What I am unclear on is when or if there has to be another election for Parliament,
CharlieOK: On the Maliki thing, I read an article I think tish brought in yesterday, where it was looking more like Maliki needs to find his safe house than the other way around. But the point is, it is looking like Iraq is again, the Wild, Wild West….And while this chaos is going on, who is in charge of the BILLIONS a month going into Iraq?
Skinman: The biggest thing is when is enough enough you’re looking at 10 months since the election if we haven’t reached the qualifying number of days yet they have to be getting pretty close…..I agree for us them dissolving parliament is the best move and then rescheduling elections for later this year if not next year….I just pray they hurry up and do it because I can see them losing all the progress they’ve made and the countries so falling into major turmoil
CharlieOK: My understandng is that Tony has said on the calls that a Caretaker govt. iHopefully, the crooks are trapped by their own laws/constitution, and the Caretaker govt. process can begin. As that begins to happen, Maliki will be executing his escape plan s probably the most secure situation for Iraq now. Hopefully the cbi will agree and pull the trigger,

This morning, a massive demonstration of the Sadrist movement began in Tahrir Square in the center of the capital, Baghdad, and the demonstrators headed to the Green Zone, whose walls they managed to storm, to reach the House of Representatives, which they entered again after they stormed it last Wednesday, for their rejection of the candidate of the coordination framework for prime minister, Muhammad Shiaa Al-Sudani.

CandyKisses: Deputy: Holding A Session Of Parliament Is Subject To Achieving This Matter
On Saturday, Representative of the State of Law Coalition, Muhammad Al-Shammari, denied holding a presidential election session today, pointing out that holding the session and assigning the Sudanese framework candidate depends on calming the street.
Al-Shammari said in a statement to “Information” that “the Presidency of the House of Representatives has not sent any official notification of the holding of the parliament session to choose the President of the Republic so far,” stressing that “the coordinating framework is still sticking to his candidate for prime minister, Muhammad Shiaa al-Sudani.”
He added that “the session of electing the President of the Republic and assigning a candidate for the coordination framework for the Prime Minister cannot be held in such a circumstance,” noting that “the holding of any session is subject to calming the street and to valid security conditions.”
Yesterday, Friday evening, the head of the Parliamentary Legal Committee, Muhammad Anouz, denied holding a parliamentary session today, Saturday, to vote on the President of the Republic because the Kurdish House has not reached an agreement so far.
