RayRen:  Good afternoon, super-fantastic TNT family!  Today is Fantabulous Friday, January 6, 2017, yours truly RayRen98 at the controls. [called went silent]
10.34:  I didn’t realize the call had been muted, so that talk was just for me, I guess.  I’ll go to Q+A.  One recording did record what I was saying;  the other did not.
Q + A Callers
865/404 caller:  Will you do a five-minute recap at the close of Q+A?  Is there anything pertinent in the Gazette?  Anything in the mosques this morning?
RayRen: I have received nothing from the Gazette or the mosques.
Caller:  Today is the twelfth day of Christmas, very appropriate for gifts of the Magi…
951 caller:  I didn’t get a tweet this morning.  Do you know anything about timing?
RayRen:  In my opening statement, we had some orientation from the agencies saying 800 numbers should pop out today;  banks are telling customers to check back on Monday.  It’s done over there, we are just looking for the full release of the revaluation.  Even they (Iraqi contacts) are saying they don’t know why it hasn’t been released to the public, including the Gazette.  Today is the 6th of January, and we just press on.
Caller:  I take everything with a grain of salt, but one of my contacts said that this was ready to go by 31st December, but something blocked it. I’m just praying and hoping…
RayRen:  I will set up the replay with the members’ questions later so you can hear it.
615 caller:  I have an update:  the Dow hit 20,000 today, so that prophecy was fulfilled today.  So I’m ready, if that touches off the RV
RayRen:  Something could happen while we are talking…
707 caller:  I assume it was all good news – no news is good news, right?  For those who think this isn’t happening, I am happy to be expecting.  It’s not ‘if’, it’s ‘when’.  Quit crying or thinking you’re entitled, just be happy you are part of this.
TX caller: what was in your opening statement before the A+A?
RayRen:  I will make sure that is on the replay.
510 caller:  I talked to people at WF, and they still say they won’t handle the dinar. One gal suggested I google “Iraqi dinar scam”.
RayRen:  Several of our members was told face-to-face that WF will buy and sell IQD, and others have been told they won’t.  So Wells Fargo needs to get its act together and be consistent.  All it takes is a memo, and that would save us some headaches.  You get different responses according to who you call, and they all think they know what their company is doing.  You can look up dinar on Google and decide for yourself.  Just before information is on the internet doesn’t mean it’s accurate.
972 caller:  [didn’t hear the question]  Dinar would be first to go?  I got information that is correct but for some reason Iraq didn’t want to be in the spotlight.  Everything is moving, though.
Questions from the TNT Forum
Q:  As I understand, it most banks here in the US have a lot of debt on their books in simple terms more debt than cash money on hand this up-and-coming RV I would think the banks are quite looking forward to for it will be the first time in many decades that they are going to be in the green for their financial base So my question is this a logical conclusion and therefore the banks having clients with actual cash in their accounts is more advantageous for them then just receiving oil credits which do not reflect as part of their financial base.  So if this thinking is valid, one must conclude that we as the new large cash clients are much more valuable to the banks than any of us have come to realize before.  This to me is a powerful asset to keep in mind when we are negotiating with the banks.  A:  You’re not really asking me a question;  if you want confirmation on your statement, post it in the forum and see whether people agree with you.
Q:  Do you have any indication from your contacts on the direction of how banks would prefer how we present the physical currencies during our exchange appointment?  That is, should you keep your currency in the shipping package to reflect you received it from a legitimate dealer or bundle same currency together to present at time of exchange?  A: have members who have exchanged at various rates.  Some went in with letters of authenticity and the banks said, “So what?” I don’t know, and I don’t think it matters. They will verify that is it legitimate currency and exchange into your account.
Q:  Now that the IQD is International, just like the VND, do you think its rate will really increase to our projected range of $3.71 or could it languish at a program rate, just like the VND has for all these decades?  A:  Here’s the difference:  we received information long ago that the international rate will be different from the in-country rates.  The banks have told us the rates on the screen, and those using Iraqi credit cards in the US have told me that the rate is already at $3.71, when they compare dollars spent to dinars subtracted from their accounts. There is a special rate for exchanging dinar in the US, and it will be different from the rates in other countries.
Q:  Please read first and decide if this question is appropriate to read on the call. I have previously heard on the caps back in Tony’s day, that the banks had a number of ways to make significant ROI on our money, with vehicles such as “overnights”. This could allow them to make as much as 20% monthly on our money.

  1. Do such vehicles really exist that make this kind of money?  A:  Yes, I do believe so.
  2. What are some examples that could make the highest returns?  A:  I don’t know – the banks have ways of making money that they don’t share with us.  You’d have to talk to the banks about that.
  3. I’m assuming we would have to know what these are so the bank would be willing to give us more than very small returns they currently advertise (like on CDs and savings accounts), correct?  A:  I’ve learned of people that have less than 100,000 yet they are getting 10% interest on that money.  So you don’t have to be a millionaire to get that kind of return – so think of what you can do and achieve with more!

Q:  At the time of exchange should we still say IQN instead of IQD and so on with the other currencies?   Also do we need to say currency exchange?  A:  I don’t think the official code matters – show the bankers your actual currency and ask them to exchange it for the highest rate that they can find for this currency.  I don’t think that IQN vs. IQD will make a difference. As for saying ‘currency exchange’, say what you want to say.  A lot of things that happen to us came from what we say.  You need to say what you mean and mean what you say.  We’ve had multiple training sessions on what to say, and why to say it.  If you want to disagree or whatever, go right away.
Q:  Have you heard any news about the VNN and its rate since Vietnam 2017 budget was to be effective Jan 1 as well? I know there was discussion that raising its rate is not dependent on Iraq but sure seems like it especially since its currency is already international;  why keep waiting?  A:  I have asked that question myself from time to time when there is the word that they are waiting on Iraq.  Maybe we’ll find out down the road.
Q:  My wife and I have notarized gift letters for our adult sons but we have not physically given them the letter or the currency yet because they think this is a scam. Since the letters are notarized pre-RV we believe we are covered for tax purposes unless they decide to say they never received it.  Question:  Under California law, a spouse is not entitled to a gift but we still are concerned about their wife(s) getting some or all the money should they divorce or should our son(s) die before their wives.  In the latter case, we want to the remaining funds to go to our grandchildren.  We are now considering gifting 25% of the amount and setting up a trust for the rest.  Your thoughts?  A:  Why are you going to split the fence and walk on both sides of it?  You need to decide if you are going to be all owner or all controller.  Teach your sons how to control and manage entities that have assets rather than owning money.  If they don’t own the currency, their spouses will not be entitled to it at any time.
Q:  When you give us a certain number of banks, etc., exchanging IQD, does this mean the entire bank throughout the USA?  Or does it mean one particular branch bank of a certain bank exchanges, so all branches of that bank must be exchanging?  A:  That is what it’s supposed to mean – that if ABC is buying/selling dinar, then all branches of ABC that deal with foreign currency should be doing the same thing.  Clearly we have been getting reports that some banks are being inconsistent.  Hopefully it will collect itself before too much longer.
Q:  The FDIC only protects 250K of your funds in most banks;  beside Lloyds of London, are there any other large insurers that you know of?  A:  I don’t know of any, but there are other avenues to give you peace of mind, such as the CEDARS program.   Talk to your bank and let them offer a solution.  If you like the solution, take it;   otherwise, move on. No fresh news from Canada.  Of course, Iraqi citizens are using ATMs in-country.  I don’t know if they are being issued lower denominations through their ATMs, which I assume is your actual concern.
Closing Statement
The unrecorded part of the call: we’re where we were on Wednesday apart from the larger number of banks, credit unions and currency exchangers who now admit to buying and selling the Iraqi dinar.  We knew that was going to happen, and as more jump on the bandwagon, that confirms that this is happening.  There may well be more, they just haven’t been reported to me.  [RayRen checked the lines.]
This is a crazy recorded call, with the first 30 minutes of silence, so fast-forward past that.  I was talking up a storm, but my microphone was turned off!  There is no intel apart from 12 banks, three exchange centers and one credit union now on board with dinar.  We have an expectation of 800 numbers on Friday, today.  Banks were expecting this to pop on Tuesday or Wednesday and now the banks are saying to check back in on Monday. The Iraqi Budget is still not in the Gazette, and Iraqis are saying WTH?  Let’s just stay in our lanes, be happy and peaceful as this thing unfolds.  While we wait, enjoy your weekend.  If anything pops up that needs your attention, I will post or tweet it, or if warranted, I will reconvene this call.  Meanwhile…
