Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – Toyota inaugurated a warehouse and pre-inspection center in the northern city of Duhok, strengthening Japan’s presence in Iraq’s Kurdistan Region.
The facility will serve as the primary distribution hub for Japanese vehicles such as Toyota, Lexus, and Hino, highlighting Iraq’s rising position in the regional auto market.
The center is expected to create new jobs, provide training, and transfer technical expertise to the local workforce.
Sardar Group, Toyota’s exclusive distributor in Iraq, will operate the site. Toyota Iraq was established in March 2016 as a joint venture between Japan’s Sumitomo Corporation and Sardar Group chairman Sardar Al Bebany.
