US Army awards $12 million contract boost for Iraq helicopters Iraqi News

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) — The U.S. Army has awarded Bell Textron Inc. a $12.4 million contract modification for the supply and customization of Bell 412 EPX helicopters designated for Iraq, raising the overall value of the deal to $38.5 million.

The agreement was issued through the Army Contracting Command at Redstone Arsenal, Alabama. Bids were solicited online, with Bell submitting the only proposal.

The Bell 412 EPX, a versatile twin-engine helicopter capable of transport, security, and rescue operations, will join Iraq’s fleet as part of efforts to modernize its military aviation capabilities.

The deal expands on previous acquisitions that have strengthened Baghdad’s air assets through cooperation with U.S. defense suppliers.
