Next Week .. Begin Amending The Federal Court Law

Sunday 01 November 2020  110   Baghdad: Morning   The deputy of the Saeron Alliance, Riyadh Al-Masoudi, suggested that Parliament will initiate amending the Federal Court Act or amend the current law early next week.

Al-Masoudi said in a press statement: “Disrupting the Federal Court Law means disrupting the electoral process and will leave a clear constitutional vacuum,” noting that “the political blocs are intent on completing the Federal Court Law after completing the election law in order to complete the pillars of the electoral process and move the ball from the stadium.” Parliament refers to the government so that it can take measures to start the process of preparing for the early elections to be held in June of next year.

He added, “Parliament faces two directions with regard to the Federal Court, the first of which is a draft bill to amend the Federal Court submitted by the Presidency of the Republic. It has been read first, and the direction of the last legislation of the law by Parliament has been read first and second and needs to vote only by a majority of 220 parliamentary votes.”

Al-Masoudi affirmed, “The House of Representatives intends to resolve the issue of the Federal Court law during the month of November, so that nothing remains in Parliament’s custody related to early elections.” LINK

Representative Finance: The Government Can Borrow And Pay Salaries Before The Law Is Enacted

Sunday 01 November 2020  152  Baghdad: Shaima Rasheed  The Parliamentary Finance Committee confirmed that the government can borrow to meet the deficit in the salaries of employees for the month of October without waiting for the legislation of the 2020 budget deficit law, indicating that the government is missing one and a half trillion dinars to pay salaries.

Committee member Jamal Cougar explained to “Al-Sabah” that the government will resort to borrowing until Parliament legislates the budget deficit law because it is the only solution available to it, stressing that the law will pass to vote because everyone is fully convinced that the government should be granted the authority to borrow and the disagreement is limited to the amount no more.

Cougar added that the bill is still under study and there are meetings to be held around it and hosting central bank officials and other banks to learn their lending capabilities.  LINK

Al-Markazi: A Drive To Create Solid Financial Institutions

The Iraqi Front Reveals A “Collective Decision” To Go To Sack Al-Halbousi

The Judiciary Asks Telecoms To Determine Debts Owed To Mobile Phone Companies

Iraq Sold Oil Last Month For $ 3.4 Billion

Time: 11/01/2020 16:28:15 Read: 1,053 times   (Baghdad: Al Furat News) Today, Sunday, the Ministry of Oil announced the total exports and revenues achieved for the month of October, according to preliminary statistics issued by the Iraqi Oil Marketing Company “SOMO”.

The ministry stated in a statement, “Al Furat News” received a copy of it, “where the quantity of exports of crude oil reached (89) million (153) thousand and (899) barrels, with revenues of approximately (3) billion and (430) million and (630) one thousand dollars”.

The statistics indicated, according to the statement, that “the total exported quantities of crude oil for the month of last October from the oil fields in central and southern Iraq amounted to approximately 86 million barrels. As for the Kirkuk fields through the port of Ceyhan, the exported quantities reached (2) millions and ( 867 thousand and (637) barrels, and the quantities exported to Jordan amounted to (263) thousand and (058) barrels.

He added, “The total daily rate of exports reached (2) millions and (876) thousand barrels, while the average price per barrel reached (38,480) dollars.”

It is noteworthy that the Ministry, through its belief in informing the people about export operations and the revenues generated from it, took this monthly procedure.   LINK

Rasheed Bank Announces The Reopening Of Two Branches In Left Mosul

Parliamentary Finance: The October Salary Deficit Does Not Exceed 20%, And The Government Must Release It Within A Week

A member of the Finance Committee, Jamal Cougar, said, “The government needs approximately 6 trillion dinars to secure the salaries of state employees and retirees and social welfare for the month of October.”

“There is a clause that allows the government to borrow partial internal borrowing for a period of 90 days without returning to Parliament, and the government can resort to it to disburse employees’ salaries during the current week and not resort to excuses for delaying salaries,” Cougar said.

He stated that “the percentage of the deficit in salaries for the month of October does not exceed 20%, and the government can provide it from internal borrowing and the release of salaries within days.

Iraq Is Going To Collapse … Parliamentary Finances Invite The Government
