Tlar: Brule, Sadr is a patriot wanting to rid Iraq of Maliki and the rest of the leeches and theives from the halls of government. Sadr is no newcomer and he carries an axe to grind.
Anybody closely associated to Maliki I am sure Sadr has a target painted on their backs. Sadr was one of the first to call out Shahristani. What does he want or expect to get?
Beyond influence, its anyones best guess. I can assure you though that he has the ear and devotion of Abadi, and maybe that’s enough.
As most see that that there is arguing and a splintering in the NA, that’s an expected good thing. Many heads of the NA are also corrupt, as is Jaafri and Maliki, Shahristani and more.
The corrupts plan IMO has just recently morphed from outright trying to stop the plan and to remove Abadi, to most recently just trying to slow this train down alittle.
I believe the corrupt now understand that they can no longer stop it but by slowing it down, that will give them a little more time so that they have time enough to make plans to leave the country with their spoils.
If we think this is moving at lightning speed, think about those corrupt who thought they were in control as they watch great strides being made faster everyday now. This came on so fast and the corrupt are finding themselves being totally cut out of the new Iraq potentially facing charges almost right away.
They don’t exactly know what to do but slowing it done they did not do. Some hope to “retire” as we have heard and they are planning to retire anywhere but Iraq. Some will just run and hope that there will be a lot of confusion within the new government, so much so that they can get away and change identities.
They now know that their days are numbered and there attempt to just slow things down, but failed at that also. They were left out of the decision masking process to pick the new ministers. Now they are being left out of everything altogether. They don’t know what’s next.
Shortly Iraq will open the economy within the international rules with full transparency. Think about where we were 1 month ago and where we are today. There is a plan and it has a date.
Millionday thinks great things will happen March 15th. I hope she is right. I think we will see a new government shortly. You and I both think that Shabibi will be the govenor of the CBI again, and I think that Iraq will have an international Article VIII currency by March 31st. We will see.
I have not swayed one iota on my belief on what the rate will come out at. I have my reasons but if anyone wants to know what I think it will be, read my thoughts from last year.
Keeping my fingers crossed that nothing harms Abadi because fledgling democracies always has to have a strong leader that the people respect.
We are on the verge of a new Iraqi democracy that serves its people instead of a circle of crooks. It is a freight train picking up speed as it goes.
One more thought. We should see the official party name in the next few days of the Abadi non secular group. All opinion of course.
When he announces that the party is formed, it will mean he has the votes needed to push the ministerial changes and the rest of the laws through parliament. Achmed Ali tlarious tlar
One last thing.
If you have read my posts over the last two weeks, I think Sadr was a part of what’s going on almost from the beginning. I think he is very close to Abadi and has been the muscle to push this through using threats with Hakim working with them inside the NA. I don’t believe they just came on board.
Your observation on Sadr not complaining about US troops in country nor does he complain that the US is holding the security file for Iraq as it was given to him by Abadi, tells me Sadr has been talked to or brought into the plan early on to dismantle the existing government. I don’t believe he just jumped in.
This plan to clean the government up IMO was started sometime late last year with all the key players brought up to snuff as to their part.
It would not surprise me that the kick off of the plan, al-Sistani asking that everyone in the government effectively resign their positions followed quickly by Abadi offering to resign if it was the right thing to do, followed by Sadr’s demonstration demanding everyone resign and a short time schedule, was not planned months ago.
Like I said, the corrupt were taken aback at the speed at which this is unfolding. tlar
