7-30-2026 Newshound Guru Pimpy Community comment: “The dinar is a scam…it’s never going to revalue.” Every time you increase or decrease the exchange rate THAT is a revalue…Around 2019 you could get 1,100 dinars for every $1. A lot of us remember that. Due to economic pressure and decline in oil revenues…the Central Bank of Iraq devalued the dinar to approximately 1,460 dinars for every $1…The dinar was revalued on December 12, 2025 to its current rate of 1310 dinars per $1. Each one of those is a revaluation. For him to say it’s never going to revalue is just not true. The dinar itself is not a scam. There are a lot of people out there…that are running a scam, but…it’s a legitimate currency.

The Iraqi government and the IMF keeps pushing the digital payment system and people outside of Iraq cannot easily obtain an Iraqi bank account. I tried…Thus this may leave us in a position where we must travel in order to exchange our banknotes. Certainly there will be a time limit and no doubt there will be an exchange amount limit…For those of you who keep telling me over and over again that we will be able to exchange the IQD in US banks in America, I hope you are right. 7-30-2026 Newshound Guru Stephen The Iraqi citizens have been hoarding Iraqi dinar for the last 23 years…They don’t trust the digital banking system because it’s been lacking in Iraq for many many years…Iraq’s banking system has been so far behind. But that has all been brought up to par. We are entering a phase where it’s time to start pulling in all of those old denominations and all that cash from the Iraqi citizens so they could start going digital. I’m speculating here but the easiest way to do that is to issue new denominations and give those new denominations higher value to incentivize the Iraqi citizens to come in and to suck in all those dinar notes, you know, wink wink, dinar revaluation.

The Iran militias were outstanding so they’re being dealt with. They probably put a nice dent or removed them… There’s still probably some remaining though.

He also pointed out that Iraq, unlike most countries, still uses paper for small change where the world uses coins. The currency overhaul Iraq’s central bank has kept on file since 2011 puts coins at the small end of the new money, and the official who fronted that plan back then is the same advisor who sat in the studio this week. Coins only exist where the smallest unit of a currency is worth something.

She goes, yes..I can just punch in the serial number and the CBI, Central Bank of Iraq will be able to tell me if it’s real or not. Then we ran the VND. She switched it on the screen. All the VND went through with no problem. It spit out the amount and how many bills on the screen. I said, can you tell me the rate? She goes, I can tell you the rate of the VND right now but I can’t tell you the IQD rate because I can’t see it yet…I said just out of giggles lets take the whole entire stack of IQD and run it through at one time, the lower notes and the big notes…The same thing happened. The same three bills were spit out…I put everything back in my bank bag…She goes, Mr. D I understand why you’ve been nagging us and why our bank manager is taking real good care of you. 7-30-2026 Intel Guru Frank26 [San Antonio, Texas Bank Story] I spotted a De LaRue machine on the counter. I was like, is that a new machine? She said no…I’ve had it for about a year but it just got a major update…The bank manager said, you know we’ve been itching to use this new software update. Why don’t you coming in tomorrow and test it out…The next day I came in with all my IQD and Vietnam dong…We ran through the IQD first. It liked everything except for two bills. She said the machine didn’t say they were counterfeit, so I’m not going to confiscate these two bills, but it’s probably because they’re worn or maybe a corner is bent or something…I said ok…let me see if it will take my smaller…250s, 500s, 1000s, 5000s and 10,000 bills. 7-30-2026 Intel Guru Bruce [via WiserNow] …you guys know that we’re very close on this thing…we do have some information that came from a couple of different sources that are that are very reliable…what we’re getting is that Redemption Center leaders have been contacted, and they’ve been told that they have to go in to the Redemption Center before noon on Thursday…and this is where it gets really interesting. And continue on a schedule…for 21 days, including Sundays…this is for exchanges to be taking place, redemption of Zim, and exchanges of currencies at the redemption centers…we have some information that says that we will be able to exchange starting as early as…Thursday afternoon, or Friday… Supposedly, the banks will are not “quote unquote” ready to exchange yet, and that they would be ready to exchange starting the 20th or 21st of August.

That is a different operating system… The resistance itself is the tell…The minister’s hesitation…fits the pattern of the old guard / Iranian-leaning elements still trying to slow-walk strategic files. Al-Zaidi overrode it on camera. That is the exact behavior IQD investors have been waiting to see from the new government … more forced execution on the files that actually matter for fiscal strength and investor confidence.
