Inflation rates fall in Iraq during November Iraqi News

Baghdad (IraqiNews.com) – The Iraqi Ministry of Planning revealed on Wednesday that the inflation rate in the country declined during November 2025.

The spokesperson for the Planning Ministry, Abdul-Zahra al-Hindawi, told the state-run news agency (INA) that the monthly inflation rate declined by 0.5 percent during November compared to October.

Additionally, the annual inflation rate declined by one percent compared to the same month in 2024, according to al-Hindawi.

Inflation rates in the country have continued to fall during the last six months, except in September, when they rose by 0.2 percent compared to August.

The Central Bank of Iraq (CBI) said in August that inflation in the country will fall in the second half of 2025.

According to CBI statistics, inflation declined to 0.8 percent in the second half of 2025, from 3.3 percent in the second quarter of 2024.

A lower inflation rate means a lower total price level, which boosts consumer and business purchasing power.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) projected in April that Iraq’s inflation rate will decline moderately in 2025.
