The inauguration of the Iraq-Italy Business Council (IIBC) this week marked a major milestone in strengthening economic relations between Iraq and Italy.
The ceremony included the ribbon-cutting of the new IIBC headquarters in Baghdad.
A launch event at Babylon Rotana brought together senior officials, business leaders, and diplomatic representatives from both countries. Distinguished guests included Mr. Sattar Al Jabiri, Deputy Minister of Trade; Mr. Fabrizio Lobasso, Deputy Director General for the Promotion of Italy and Economic Internationalization; Mr. Majid Muzan, representative of the Federation of Iraqi Chambers of Commerce and Chairman of the Basra Chamber of Commerce, and H.E. Niccolò Fontana, the Ambassador of Italy to Iraq.
With a shared vision for growth, innovation, and knowledge transfer, the IIBC aims to serve as a vital bridge connecting Iraqi and Italian businesses, fostering a more prosperous and sustainable economic partnership.
