Iraq Launches E-Authentication Service at Foreign Ministry Iraq-Businessnews

Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Fuad Hussein inaugurated on Wednesday, 10 September 2025, the new ‘Tasheel’ service for the electronic authentication of documents through secure mail at the Ministry’s Consular Department.

The launch was attended by Consular Department Director Dr. Falah Abdul Hassan and representatives from the Ministry of Communications. Minister Hussein said the project, aimed at digitising and authenticating transactions electronically, is designed to serve citizens wherever they are.

He emphasised that the initiative, developed in close cooperation with the Ministry of Communications, represents the first full automation project within an Iraqi ministry, and expressed hope that other ministries would adopt similar practices.

The Minister also highlighted that the system will strengthen transparency, eliminate the role of intermediaries in processing transactions, and support government efforts to combat corruption.
