Iraqi Drilling Company Completes Reclamation of Three Oil Wells in Basra and Maysan Iraqi News

The Iraqi Drilling Company announced on Tuesday the successful reclamation of three oil wells in Basra and Maysan provinces.

According to a statement received by the Iraqi News Agency (INA), and in implementation of directives from the Deputy Prime Minister for Energy Affairs and Minister of Oil, with supervision from the Undersecretary for Extraction Affairs, the technical and engineering teams at the Iraqi Drilling Company restored three oil wells across several fields in Basra and Maysan. This effort aligns with the Ministry of Oil’s plans to boost production capacity and strengthen national efforts in the development of the extraction sector.

The specialized teams reclaimed an oil well in the Zubair field in Basra using the IDC 47 reclamation unit, a well in West Qurna-1 in Basra with the IDC 144 unit, and a well in the Bazergan field in Maysan using the IDC 33 unit.

Hassan Mohammed Hassan, the company’s General Manager, emphasized that these achievements reflect the company’s commitment to executing the Ministry of Oil’s plans and directives. He noted that the company’s teams possess advanced expertise and technical capabilities, enabling them to complete reclamation operations efficiently and within designated timeframes, contributing to the enhanced performance and output of the oil fields and supporting the national economy.
