You’ve probably heard that Iraq and Vietnam HAVE TO revalue together because of their deep economic ties. Nobody ever explains what those ties actually are. Here’s why. Because there aren’t many. Their primary trade relationship today is food for oil. During the Cold War there were closer economic ties. Today they are two separate economies on two separate trajectories. Two separate events.
