DonnaJean: Saturday AM:  Good morning everyone – I have an update, a REAL one. Just came from a major bank in central Pennsylvania. Went into Wells Fargo – spoke with currency exchange teller. She said the follow – very pleasant on the subject, said yes they are going to exchange there;
said something was “afoot” actively and to keep checking the Wells Fargo foreign exchange website because it would be posted there first.
She was very pleasant, ready to do what she could but could not exchange at the moment the single bill we had with us but said please do come back.
Only ID required is an active drivers license and possibly another form of picture ID – that was it.
Got to run – doing a NICU open house here at the hospital right now but wanted to provide an update to everyone. This literally just happened less than an hour ago TO ME!
RVAlready:  At WF, it all depends on the banker or branch manager. The default is to tell you they will never exchange. Saves them from having to deal with you until exchange time.
Elmerf123456 : Steady Rudder Folks! We have all been up the excitement hills and down the dull drum mountains. Be ready for the earthquake and not the tremors. You’ve been well coached.
Dr. MJRandy: Well after being told, “Today, tromorrow” for a tad over thirteen (13) years this could be it. Sure sounds good
Luvwolfs:  Dr M J Gm, much different feel to it now 😉
Dr.MJRandy:  This puppy is l o n g overdue.

IamMayDragon:  Here’s a bit of a bank story. Only one Seattle branch of WF was open today and they do currency exchanges there. I decided to call before I went down to the bank and spoke with a woman who answered about VND.
She was surprised that it was not showing on their currency list on her screen. I then asked her about Iraqi dinar and she said the same thing as with the dong. She said she could not explain it and transferred me to the foreign currency teller. .
That teller was fantastic. He looked it up and could not find it listed so he checked exotic currencies and it was not their either. He put me on hold while he called the foreign currency office. He came back and gave me a number to call on Monday, but I was on hold for quite some tme.
I asked him to check on the zim while.h e was in the exotic currencies and no rate at all on the zim either!
He said The RV office would be able to tell me on Monday but he was very surprised that all of a sudden no rates were showing and the dong wasn’t listed.. he did not know what to make of it. Smells like RV in process to me. They were both extremely nice and no mention of scams.
