dragrv: chattels, im new to this, it seems in reading back on all you have said, you seem to never think this is gonna happen
chattels: I am not one who believes that the liberation of Mosul by the ISF will happen this year unless there is a massive and successful popular uprising.
dragrv: so you feel no rv this year?
chattels: ‹@dragrv› I hope that ” IT ” will happen eventually – I am heavily invested in ” IT “.
dragrv: gotcha
chattels: ‹@dragrv› Unlikely in my view of things.
dragrv: to me the rv is like willl trump be president or not
dragrv: lol
chattels: My view is principally influenced by ” experts ” not involved in currency reform. I look at / for ” RELATIVE ” stability and security in Iraq as a condition precedent or attendant to an increase in currency values.
chattels: ‹@dragrv› There are several who opine that our next President may influence our ” liquidity event “.
chattels: Randy Koonce seems to believe that our current President is blocking our event.

chattels: Voter Registration / Update Advocated by Abadi and Mr. Maliki
chattels: The next election cycle and post DAESH may be critical to the future of Iraq and our liquidity event. Abadi likely needs a clear victory to strengthen his parliamentary support. He was the compromise candidate or politically brokered Prime Minister from the last elections. Mr. Maliki is obviously ” running ” to resume the role of Prime Minister.

http://wealthwatch.world/showthread.php?tid=4912&pid=16621#pid16621
chattels: I do not see how ISF can begin an actual assault upon Mosul with Hawija and Sharqat still controlled by Daesh in the rear.
Doug_W: ‹@chattels› that would depend greatly on the supply roads to them
Doug_W: if the roads wold be cut by freeing Mosulk they would literally be “cut off” supply wise and would have to give up
Doug_W: eventually that is
chattels: ‹@Doug_W› Perhaps
chattels: ‹@Doug_W› The Syrian border is still porous and may supply Hawija and Sharqat indefinitely.
chattels: ‹@Doug_W› My sense is that Abadi is hoping for a popular uprising in Mosul.

Donnie: you too sir
Doug_W: ‹@Donnie› hiya
Donnie: I was reading some articles from Iraq from 2010-2012 regarding dropping 3 zeroes. Here is what I got from the articles.
Donnie: IN-COUNTRY ONLY:
Donnie: If a candy bar costs 1000 Dinar then a 25000 Dinar note could buy 25 candy bars.
Donnie: Drop 3 zeroes from the currency AND from all the prices of items for sale in-country to maintain equality.
Donnie: If a candy bar now costs 1 Dinar then 25 Dinar could buy 25 candy bars.
Donnie: If they change the USD to DInar rate (In-country) to $1-1 Dinar then $25 would by 25 candy bars.
Donnie: Or exchange in Iraq $25 to 25 Dinar then go buy the 25 candy bars.
Donnie: This appears to be what Iraq will do in-country $1 to 1 Dinar.
Donnie: Again this is what i determined from the articles from 2010-2012.
Donnie: Out of country???? the Gurus are coming up with all kinds of reasons why this IN-Country change will not affect our 25000 notes. Donnie: But I’m no “Guru” so what do I know….
Doug_W: all the latest news points to a whole different scenario imo donnie
Donnie: please explain what scenario you are referring to?

: Kirk H. Sowell @UticaRisk 1h1 hour ago Interpreting “absolute majority” to mean simple majority in the Iraqi constitution is *not* a new precedent. @TheStudyofWar
chattels: Kirk H. Sowell @UticaRisk 1h1 hour ago I agree the Iraqi Supreme Court’s interpretation seems arbitrary, but the vote was consistent w a 2007 decision. @TheStudyofWar
chattels: Kirk H. Sowell @UticaRisk 1h1 hour ago Iraq’s parl’t only needs 50% + 1 if the clause says “absolute majority of the number of its members.” Otherwise, majority of present enough.
chattels: Kirk H. Sowell @UticaRisk 1h1 hour ago And bc the clause dealing w removal of PM says “absolute majority of the number of its members,” then a true absolute majority is required.
chattels: Kirk H. Sowell @UticaRisk 1h1 hour ago Thus PM Abadi is not seriously in danger of being impeached, since they’d need 165 votes to remove him, v. 142 for the Obaydi vote.
