Prime Minister Barzani, Iraqi Counterpart Meet in Baghdad
Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani was received by Iraqi Prime Minister Adil Abdul-Mahdi in Baghdad on Tuesday.
Accompanied by a high-level delegation, PM Barzani arrived in the Iraqi capital and met with President Barham Salih earlier the day.
Barzani and Abdul-Mahdi are expected to discuss a roadmap to find a solution to the remaining disputes between Erbil and Baghdad.
Earlier on Monday, the Kurdish prime minister said the visit to Baghdad was to show Erbil’s “goodwill” in the joint efforts to improve the bilateral ties between Kurdistan Region and the Iraqi government.
PM Barzani is expected to also meet with Iraqi Parliament Speaker Mohammed al-Halbousi later the day before returning to Erbil. Source
