For those of you who lost receipts, never got one or the receipt faded, create a statement. The statement says, on such and such a date [I purchased x amount of dinar]. You can just put the year…They don’t have to know the exact date as long as it’s more than a year ago. The bank is going to inspect your notes regardless. They’re going to certify them. They’re going to authenticate them. They’re going to prove they’re not counterfeit and they’re the real deal. And then they’re going to convert them. Why is the receipt important? Because the bank is obligated to report a taxable event to the IRS… Guy
