Is the IQD undervalued today?  Yes…sure it is.  But is it worth $3 or $4 per IQD?  Under today’s standards Iraq has a major problem.  They are wealthy only because of oil revenue.  To be consistently wealthy, the World Bank and the IMF say Iraq MUST develop additional income streams.  Why?  Because today’s standards require that of currencies that are traded on the global forex market.  It’s just a given.  Who enforces this so-called rule?  Absolutely no one.  But if a country takes actions without a recommendation from the IMF or the World Bank investors usually will not trade the currency.  So…What  monetary mechanism would allow today’s outstanding dinars to suddenly become worth $3 or $4 each?
