PM Barzani, Qatar’s FM Discuss Trade and Investment by Phone
ERBIL — Kurdistan Region Prime Minister Masrour Barzani on Tuesday received a phone call from Sheikh Mohammed Bin Abdulrahman al-Thani, the Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister of Qatar.
They exchanged views on the latest political developments in Iraq and the wider region, according to a press release by PM Barzani’s office.
“Both sides discussed the developments in Iraq and further strengthening ties between the Kurdistan Region and Qatar, particularly in trade and investment,” the press release said.
Prime Minister Barzani wrote on Twitter: “DPM/FM @MBA_AlThani_ and I had a productive phone call tonight on the state of our bilateral relations and plans for new partnerships in trade and investment. Iraq and regional developments also on the agenda.”
