Iran’s Foreign Policy Is to Confront US Hegemony: VP
Iranian Vice President Eshaq Jahangiri said on Monday that his country’s foreign policy is to confront the US hegemony and protect multilateralism.
The comment comes amid increasing tensions between Washington and Tehran while Iran’s relations with the main EU actors is also facing challenges after the seizure of a UK-flagged ship in the Gulf.
“The foreign policy of the Islamic Republic of Iran is to protect multilateralism and confront American hegemony,” IRIB news agency quoted Jahangiri.
Concerning Iran’s decision to reduce commitment to the 2015 Nuclear Deal, the vice president said the plan could be reversed if other signatories to the agreement uphold their commitments. Source
