Turkey Ready to Find Alternative to US F-35: Erdogan
Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan made it clear on Friday that his country will have to find an alternative supplier if US refuses to sell Turkey the F-35 jets.
“[Turkey will] once again have to take measures on that matter [and] turn elsewhere,” Erdogan said. “I will stress once again that Turkey will not give up on its plans for ensuring national security despite any threats.”
The Turkish president indirectly referred to the US refusal to sell the Patriot missiles in the past, which eventually led Ankara to buy the Russian S-400s.
However, Washington continues to threaten Turkey with possible sanctions after the Turkish-Russian deals for military supplies. Source
