Iraq Generates over $8.27 Billion from January Oil Exports
ERBIL — The Iraqi government has generated more than $8.27 billion from 99.28 million barrels of crude oil it exported during the first month of 2022, country’s oil ministry said on Tuesday.
A total of 96.43 million barrels were exported from oil fields in central and southern Iraq via the Port of Basra, and about 2.54 million barrels from the northern province of Kirkuk via the Turkish port of Ceyhan on the Mediterranean, Xinhua cited the statement.
It further explained that the average selling price for crude oil in the month was more than $83.24 per barrel, the statistics from the State Organization for Marketing of Oil detailed.
In December, Iraq said it had exported over 100 million barrels of crude oil, which brought in revenues of more than $7 billion as the average selling price in the month was over $72 per barrel. Link
